The spread of coronavirus compulsory made each countries to think for the corona fighting solution. Every Individual in the world are in trauma from coronavirus pandemics effects. There is a huge impact on economy of the all the countries in the world.

Initially many countries have taken this effect lightly but now they have paid huge price and they must have learnt the lesson. For well developed countries who are rely on only technologies and rushed for supremacy must have realized that only technology is not that important the Human health issues should not be ignored. As everybody says that Health is Wealth but is only documented nobody follows the same. Everybody worked like a machine but they are forgetting that machine is made by human only, if Human doesn’t exists they who will run the machine.

Anyway let us pray that this problem gets resolved soon. Since till date there is no solution to fight against the coronavirus many countries have declared lockdown. Many researchers as well as World Health Organization are working to find out the solution but it will take lot of time. But because of this lockdown positive effect also seen in all over the world in terms of environment pollution. Drastic drop in emission level has been observed.

Few of the observations are reported are as:

·         The beaches in many countries found very clean as there is no tourist movements have restricted.

·         Drastic reduction in CO2 level because of empty streets in the cities across the world, many factories have shutdown, flights are grounded.

·         Significant drop in Nitrogen Oxide emission level because of reduction in vehicle movements in the cities across the world.

·         In India as the whole country goes under lockdown the PM 2.5 level drops significantly. India is to be considered as most polluted country in the world.

·         In India where the air quality is seems to be worst for living has come to satisfactory level.

·         In India, as per central pollution control board there is 71% drop in nitrogen oxide level since lockdown.

·         As per EEA data the 24% drop in nitrogen oxide level observed in European country since last 4 weeks.

It’s something that’s important when we think about health, to think about air quality.

Effect of Air pollution on Health:

Nitrogen Oxide

·        Source:

Nitrogen oxide contamination is discharged from vehicle fumes, and the burning of coal, oil, diesel fuel, and petroleum gas, particularly from electric force plants. ... Nitrogen oxides and sulphur dioxide respond with substances in the climate to frame corrosive rain. Nitrogen dioxide is utilized to create rocket fuel and explosives

Effect of Nitrogen Oxide.

·            NO2 has direct and indirect effects on human health. It can lead to breathing problems, headaches, chronically shrunk lung function, eye irritation, loss of appetite and corroded teeth. Indirectly, it can affect humans by damaging the ecosystems they depend on water and land—harming animals and plants

Particulate Matter: PM 2.5

·        Particulate matter is nothing but the solid tiny particles formed from dust, smoke, soot and dirt.etc. The main source of these particulate matters  are found in construction site, road project, cement processing plant, coal crusher units, powder handling plants and incineration of material in incinerator, Industrial Boilers etc. The sizes of these particles may be different.

·        Particulate particles also reduced the visibility effect and Inhaling of fine particles can lead lung diseases also.

Effect of Water Pollution

·        Animal or Human waste contamination into river initiates to spreading of bacteria and viruses into water and this will lead to measure illness to human beings like cholera, Diarrhoea and thyroid.

·        Exposure t cooling tower vapours which contain Legionella bacteria can lead pneumonia to the human being.

·        Untreated effluent released from the chemical Industry content chemicals and heavy metals This is also contaminate waterways as well. These contaminated water is poisonous to aquatic life and it also affect the life cycle of these aquatic species.

·        The solid debris, such as plastic bags papers, construction debris, animal waste, human waste, waste food from restaurants, vegetables gets swept into sewers and storm drains and eventually float out to water reservoir , this will in turn became waste patches.

Noise Pollution:

·        It is generally defined as exposure to elevated sound levels (above 80dB) than the normal sound level that may lead to adverse effects in humans or other living organisms. Normal sound levels defined below the 80dM

·        Examples:. ... Airports, with constant elevated sounds from air traffic, i.e. planes taking off or landing. In Industry Compressor operation leads to very high noise. Boiler Operation, pneumatic conveying system etc.

·        Effect of Noise Pollution: Permant Hearing Loss to living organisms. Cardiovascular disease sleeping disorder, communication trouble etc.

But really lockdown will help to survive?

To answer to this question is No.This is a temporary phase of life as there will be always ups and down in the life. People have to struggle it. Every time will not be the same one. Hope for the best. You cannot sit at home all the time , to survive yourself and your dear ones you have to work and for that you will required to go outside. All above things will get resumed after lockdown then again pollution level will be at original state as earlier. Hence it is time to think upon the alternative source of energy to reduce the emission level.

But for this time to be safe to stay at home!!!!
